Audience with the Pope…

Brad – “Awesome….if I just jumped, I could have touched him”

Zach – “I would have poked him, but I wouldn’t want to get struck by lightning”

Rigg – “The Pope mobile was amazing….I want one”

Nick – “Loved his sombrero, red cowboy hat thing”

Just an hour ago, we had an audience with the Pope.  The Scouts were very close….as a matter of fact, we were in the main section…on the same level as the Pope….Awesome exerience.  Various Bishops from all over welcome pilgrims in their own language from all over…then the Pope blesses everyone and all objects they bring for blessings…and yes, for those who bought the Scout fundraising items and asked for them to be blessed, they all were!  We gave our gift to a Swiss Guard, who in turn gave it to the Pontiff…The Pope will surly understand Aloha!

  1. WOW!!! alot of Hawaii people there recognized the RED NECKERCHIEFS upfront . . . Thank you so much John for making this a memorable lifetime event.

  2. Wow…awesome photos! I would also like to see group photos of the troop (boys & leaders). God Bless you all!

  3. So heartwarming to see the boys and leaders gather around St. Damien’s crypt @St. Anthony’s. Such a blessing to see them offering their gift of rosary prayer.
Heard from your mom (Baysa) that you were so…close to the Pope. We enjoyed all the photos…seems like we were on this journey too.
Have a safe and healthy journey! Thank you for sharing this special experience. We look forward to more photos.

    We love you all.
